Coaching for boys
The teenager years are important and often concerning for parents. From a social perspective boys are different to girls in many ways and our coaching programs reflect these differences. Together with the many changes that are occurring in the brain during adolescence parents often find themselves ill equipped to deal with these developments or quite simply at the effect end of the developing brain.
In a wonderful talk on the adolescent brain from Sarah – Jayne Blakemore we can learn why teenagers are impulsive, risk taking and what might be considered as selfish. Is their inability to understand the frustrations or their parents just the underdevelopment of their brain?
