The Master Business Coaching Program

Coaching within Organisations requires a strong understanding of the Organisational context, the Organisational objectives and how the individual fits within those objectives. Having worked with large Organisations, family businesses and Government Departments we address the needs of both the Organisation and the individual within the Coaching Program.

The Process.

The Master Business Coaching Program is a 5 stage process. The purpose for Coaching is a twofold process that meets the needs of the Organisation and the individual. These needs may be described for the individual in terms of Organisational objectives, key performance indicators or Talent matrix.

Stage 1: Coach and Sponsor Meeting: Setting the scene.

The first stage is the Coach and Sponsor meeting to discuss the developmental needs for the individual. The sponsor is generally the individual’s line manager, the Executive or Human Resources accountable for Talent development. The purpose of this meeting is for the Coach and the Sponsor to discuss the Sponsors understanding of potential areas for development that the individual may require within the Coaching program.

Stage 2: Have/Want Strategy Meeting.

This step is where the Coach and the individual meet to complete the Have/Want Strategy Meeting.
This 2-3 hour session is a snapshot of where the individual is now, where they want to go (goals) and what they believe is currently holding them back from achieving these outcomes.

The outcome of the Have/Want Strategy Meeting has 4 intentions:

  1. To identify the unique characteristics that make up the individual: what they bring to the table that is core to who they are and in what they do. What modes do they rely on to create success,
  2. To uncover, with pinpoint accuracy, beliefs/filters, attitudes or values that are impeding success and causing unwanted results,
  3. To unpack their beliefs and clearly explain how their current results and complaints are perfectly aligned with their beliefs and behaviours,
  4. To identify ways forward they can adopt that will put them on the path they want. Including the feedback from their sponsor about what they believe needs to be developed within the program.

HaveWant-Matrix

Have/Want Matrix “The Snap Shot”

This high impact session uncovers elements (highlighting the individuals blind spots) that they may be unaware of. At the end of this session participants are able to clearly understand how they have produced the kinds of results they are experiencing. We do not require the completion of a formal personality assessment tool. Due to our extensive experience in the field assessment of the individual is intrinsically to this session.

Stage 3: The Master Business Coaching Program Design and Sign off.

From the output of the Have/want Strategy Meeting a Coaching development program is structured with each session carefully architected to produce lasting change and move the individual towards their goals. This stage is a go or no go decision. If the individual or the Coach decide that there is an opportunity to work together then the next stage will proceed.  If not, a notional fee will be charged representing the cost of the session for the first 2 stages only.

The individual will receive the program outline after the completion of the Have/Want Strategy Meeting to sign off on the program as confirmation that this is what they will work on in the program.

Stage 4 Coaching Program delivery.

The Coaching Program occurs over 6 sessions of 1.5- 2 hour sessions scheduled to suit the individual’s timetable (weekly or fortnightly). This is conducted at either our venue or at the Client’s.

The proven methodology employed is neuroscience based, utilising a multidisciplinary approach developed over 18 years of practice.

Stage 5: Sponsor Progress Review.

During the Coaching program (after session 3) a written progress review will be sent to the sponsor detailing what progress has been made. The individual will check the review, give feedback  if necessary and when satisfied that this reflects their progress to date will sign off. The review is then forwarded to the Sponsor for feedback and further review.

Health Checks

The health check sessions are designed for individuals who have completed the Coaching Program.  These single sessions are designed as a check in opportunity.

They are standalone sessions and have a different quality to the intensity of the Coaching program and are designed to occur on a monthly or 6 weekly period to address any possible issues and challenges that arise as the new filters settle in.

The Health Check sessions are standalone sessions that may be unrelated to one another compared with the Russian doll effect of the Coaching program sessions.

The process requires the participant to complete a health check report at least 72 hours prior to the session to give a snap shot of where their current thinking is at.

This information will be used to set the agenda for the session.
